As market leading providers of colour and coatings within healthcare for over 60 years, we collaborate with healthcare professionals and academia to explore colour and design solutions that enable clinical and support teams working in hospitals and care homes to discharge their work more productively, supporting them to achieve their goals.
We believe that expert application of colour, product and design specification is another effective device to augment the care administered by healthcare providers. We know that considered application of evidence-based colour and design can improve a patient`s quality of life, reduce feelings of stress or anxiety and aid recovery - not to mention the more obvious benefits derived from facilitating improved way finding and navigation for those with either visual impairments or even physical disabilities.
Our holistic approach to inclusive design recognizes the need to consider all aspects of the given space, such as; indoor air quality, light, colour, acoustics, odour and thermal comfort, all important variables within the environment - all can have a direct impact on the way we might experience or enhance a space to enrich and promote occupant wellbeing.
Together with building industry experts BRE and Halsall Design, and Loughborough university, we have achieved a ground-breaking Dementia Friendly demonstration house that will enable the care sector to explore a range of the latest interventions that can contribute to more supportive environments for those living with dementia.
