Professor Graham Stokes is HC-Oneâ€™s Director of Memory Care a leading care provider in the UK. He delivers strategy and policy for person-centred care across care homes in the UK. With 30 years-experience in the health and social care industry, Professor Stokes is recognised as a leader in dementia care. A clinical psychologist by training, he has been instrumental in the shaping and communication of person-centred dementia care. In addition to his leading role at HC-One, Professor Stokes has been the Honorary Visiting Professor of Person-Centred Dementia Care at the University of Bradford since 2012. He is also a Board member of the Dementia Action Alliance (England). Professor Stokesâ€™ career highlights also include chairing the Mental Health Foundation and Joseph Rowntree Foundationâ€™s Dementia Truth Inquiry, being a key member of the External Reference Group which drafted the Governmentâ€™s Five Year National Dementia Strategy, and sitting on the Prime Ministerâ€™s Challenge on Dementia Design and Implementation Group for the 2012 and 2020 strategies. He was also invited to be a representative at The G7 Global Dementia Legacy Event in Tokyo to discuss Innovative Care and Prevention Models.
